Product detailed description
The Ehrlichia phagocytophilum (Anaplasma) IgG, IgM test detects the presence of antibodies against the bacterium Ehrlichia phagocytophilum (formerly known as Anaplasma), which causes human granulocytic anaplasmosis (HGA). IgM antibodies indicate the acute phase of infection, as they are produced at the onset of the immune response, while IgG antibodies suggest a past infection or the later stages of an acute infection and immune memory. This test is used to diagnose acute or past infections transmitted by ticks and to determine the stage of the disease. It is particularly suitable for individuals with symptoms such as fever, fatigue, muscle pain, and joint pain, who have been exposed to ticks.
