Testosterone is a hormone that plays a key role in the growth and development of male reproductive tissues, including development of the reproductive organs, support of sexuality and vitality, and also promotes secondary sex characteristics such as increase in muscle mass and growth of body hair.

    This test is often used to investigate the causes of various health problems in men, such as low fertility, testicular dysfunction, or tumors in the genital area. It can also be used to monitor testosterone levels during hormone therapy.
