Fatty Acids Screening
Fatty Acid Screening focuses on measuring fatty acid levels from a blood sample and includes the calculation of essential nutritional indicators.
The examination tests palmitic acid (C16:0), stearic acid (C18:0), oleic acid (C18:1), linoleic acid (C18:2), gamma-linolenic acid (C18:3), arachidonic (C20:4), dihomo-gamma-linolenic (C20:3), alpha-linolenic (C18:3), eicosapentaenoic (C20:5), docosapentaenoic (C22:5) and docosahexaenoic (C22:6)
The results of this analysis are then used to determine four key nutritional indicators that are fundamental to understanding the state of human health, namely the Omega-3 Index, Omega-6/Omega-3 Ratio, Cell Membrane Fluidity, and Mental Resilience Index.
