    Thyroglobulin Screening

    Thyroglobulin screening is a laboratory test that measures the level of thyroglobulin in the blood.

    Thyreoglobulin is a protein produced by the thyroid gland that serves as a precursor for the production of thyroid hormones (T3 and T4).

    This test is often used to monitor patients after treatment for thyroid cancer, especially after surgical removal of the gland, because elevated levels may indicate a return or persistent disease.
